Anyone missed me?

Hello! anyone missed me? back.... exams are over! yeah... stopped myself from blogging cos of the exams... but last paper ended yest!

i did patch my maple sometime back, but i was too lazy to update....

hmm... professions...

my hero got mining and jewel crafting, my mech got mining n blacksmithing... and evan went herbalism and alchemy. managed to get all of them to lvl 7/5 for the rewards from the event a few days back... nothing good from the rewards tho, just the 4 slot bag... which my evan really needs cos i'm so out of etc item space with all the herb flowers and seeds and stuff....

totally no mood to maple now tho. pvp was fun. for a while... till the capture the flag came and the changes that totally ruined pvp. now there are hackers on pvp too... its like now its even hard for me to get 1.5k points on hero. absolutely ridiculous...! i spend more time reviving and re-buffing after i died than i spend actually HITTING others. really PATHETIC. totally killed my mood to maple after that... how the heck will i be able to get emblems like this???? esp on my mech who dies before i can even finish 1 siege mode... zzzzzzzzzzz! warriors just suck big time in pvp now. we can run anywhere... and we die in 7 hits... easy enough for any range attackers to kill....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz pathetic! so yeah... no mood to play maple at all.

previously was busy with all the sch projects, finding fyp etc... so its been like... eons since i last did anything on hs. with all the new patch contents being total rip offs from gms, it seems like there's no point anyway... just get a mechanism to let us port data from gms over to the hs-sea side... someone iboxed AS and asked if they could help us out with the data/info stuff, but we only got a negative reply...... oh wells... i'll talk to jon/saigo probably next week or smthing to see wat i shd do... i do feel a lot like quiting hs, and maple.... well it is abt time after all... i'm not that young anymore... and maple is just way too SGD oriented to play these days... i absolutely DESPISE those ppl who buy mesos. yes, i'm talking abt someone in the lounge whom everyone else dislikes too. shant say more, but if you're reading this, u know who you are. and don't bother requesting bl again. i wont accept it. your. attitude. is. pathetic.

What I've done?

I bet you all are wondering what i've been up to... no updates on chaos... no nothing.

Yup... indeed... it's been like... 2-3 weeks or smthing? since i last went on XP. Nope, still haven patched maple... Reason? One word: School.

Been busy with numerous projects, presentations, worrying abt finding my own fyp etc... haven had the time or even mood to maple... and exams are drawing really near...

sorry, don't have anything interesting to talk abt right now...

its possible that i may only go back to mapling after my exams...

talked to saigo the other day abt HS... well it's high time i gave them some explanation abt my complete disappearance... heard that they were planning on a db revamp, to make things like keying in the info easier/more automated... its really great to hear that even after so long, they are still putting in so much effort and time into the site, you two are really superb! they've been focused on the GMS site for quite some time already, working to put in the ascension data etc... since so far msea has merely been taking the patches directly off GMS, i told saigo to focus work on the GMS site, and get Jon to make a system for easy porting of data between the two DB instead... no point having to duplicate all the data entry work on another database... all you need is for someone to check and ensure that the data is correct for msea, and make any changes if necessary....

sighz... so many dark clouds hanging over my head now. till next (next next next...) time...

really not gonna maple for the time being already. crashes, roll backs, and daily 'urgent' maintenances...  just saw a twitter msg pop up saying that A world maintenance got extended till 12pm. i think there was already two downtime yesterday...? like watever lah. seriously no point playing maple now. i haven played since sun and i'm not regreting anything.

wanna go try playing trickster again someday... but i always end up not having enough time to on xp lol. oh wells. nothing else to say but the hacker situation getting really hopeless.

oh yeah... HS... haven updated anything since the weekend. gotta thank saigo for dragging his bro in to help us... makes me feel so guilty each time haiz... maybe i'll go add in a few mobs before i start my research for sch work.

Ani Raid and random stuff!

wanted to train hero a bit just now... turned on the family 1.2x exp buff than... half way thru, the comp hanged! somehow maple (and everything else) just hanged and barely moved... sighz... forced me to restart and after that i just decided not to go back on xp... since i shdnt sleep too late today. gotta wake up at 7 tmr for class.

ended up training a miserly 0.2% exp today... at this rate i'm really not gonna hit lvl 198 by next friday. well the redeeming point is that i've got mon and tues to train since those are holidays. that is provided they don't come up with some hari raya event at the very last minute and cause massive server lag zzzzzzzz. also hoping to train tmr afternoon till evening before the czak at night. probably can get 1.5-2% from 2 rounds of scar+targa+krex.... i'll be able to make it to lvl if i pull off that full day training i did last sun again... for all 4 days... gain say 4% per day? that'll be enough to get me to lvl... guess i shd go krex everyday at least... 0.6% in one hour is pretty neat. and you use 0hp pots... and i can basically read book or play games on my phone.

haven been doing much on HS once again, tho like... that day during the weekend i added quite a bit of stuff form the lion king patch in a spurt. well more like a very small spurt. i think saigo's managed to get a gms guy to help add the eqs from the lion king patch... <3 <3 <3 XD those eq are quite troublesome, to say the least... there's all those set effects and all to add in too. wat have i been so busy with? i really don't know... time just slips by so fast... well i did play DN for 4 hours yest (and got a bad headache), and i trained my hero a bit... busy with random stuff here and there. did some random sch work here and there too... like the mol evo readings and assignments. ok, shant discuss abt that further here. assigned the source eqs in the previous patch to a new SEA mod to add... he hasn’t replied my email yet... wonder if he'll do anything at all... o.o too many mods that've been added than do nothing. some really didn’t help at all before disappearing... its like... why did they wanna be mods in the 1st place o.o maybe cos they aren't emailed and assigned work so they just do nothing and eventually forget abt the whole issue? idk... speaking of which, i think i've not heard from icemager since... pre-bb...? or just after bb. that's like... 2 months or so? tho it certainly felt like half a year or more to me ><

oh yes, some very late news... wanted to post this LONG ago but i keep forgetting sheesh. GMS got the monster book system from JMS!!! finally!!!!!!! yes, the monster book effects and the card set effects etc... the whole package!!! that means that one day SEA would get it too! yay! <3 yes, this is super super old news. but still... that means the main attraction of JMS (for me) will be coming to SEA (eventually...)! whee! happiness! lol.

ah yes... jp mega-ed me + 2 other loungers just now XD thks jp! (even tho u're just trying to finish up the megas from CS surprise lol)

 

yes, i had to use an external program to take the screen shot since there's that stupid bug right now that makes the SSes come out as portrait rather than landscape... zzzzzzz. speaking of which... i got some cut off SSes from my ani raid a few days ago.

you can go for the ani raid once a day... you will get an invite (a red envelope will appear on top of your head, and a line will appear in the chat window) at the hour if you have yet to go that day. Accept the quest to get teleported to the waiting room. In the waiting room all your buffs will get canceled, so you have to re-cast everything when you enter the boss map (esp impt for mages... remember ur mg!) Upon finish the ani raid, you will get sent back to town so if you happen to JUST travel a long distance to your training destination... that's just too bad (which is what happened to me once, i just reached blood reindeers at LKC and buffed up...) If you are in TT, you get sent back to the TT map with the temple manager rather than back to leafre... its like the use of a town scroll.

oh yeah, some extra info about the ani raid:

1) the 10am to 10pm thing are LIES. law went in at 11pm yest...

2) you can re-enter the boss fight map after you die

3) you do not lose exp from dying there

credit goes to law for informing me of all the abv. so yeah, there's no point in rushing the guard to the right to sabo ppl, except for the fun of looking at tombstones rain down... since the 'dead' can come back anyway (and they don't lose anything either, except maybe their... pride?)

the exp from the raid isnt too bad (well depends on how much damage u dealt to the guard of cos). players in the same CC will go to the same waiting room map, but there are different boss fight maps. i'm guess its by region, so if you are in places like say magatia where there are pretty much 3rd jobbers training there only, your run might not be able to down the boss within the time limit ><

damage dealt from the boss isnt much, like 1k+ at most? there's seduce tho, u jump to the <<< (u can't pot when seduced!) so if someone wants to see a rain of tombstones they just need to rush the guard all the way <<< (but like i said, you can come back anyway, and no exp is lost). i find that hitting the guard from behind and/or tanking the boss gives you less chance of getting SD, means you can hit the boss more for more exp. 

rewards... you get an ani's box from the npc when leaving the place (make sure u select the correct option!), so make sure you have a free use slot before going/leaving. you can get total crap from the box, but there are some nice rewards too... from southperry extractions (which will hopefully too be in HS soon)

Went zak that day with law+his gm+loli who used bs to get AR. or rather he tried to but fail miserably. all arms still intact! darn the SS bug... but still, u can see the empty hp bar over there...

 

went to do the tomato farm event quest cos i was sooo bored. did with a mage and this lvl 10X dk wearing a maple hat. since i felt like gng krex for the exp... i decided to just be nice and random and helped him get scar n targa helm... 

last bit of SSes that i'm gonna upload is from my hero's short stint last sat to hunt the lunar dews... sadly like the 1st SS i don't even know wat i'm trying to take... i assume that its cos the SS got cutoff... sighz.

haven gone lunar dew hunting ever since, so i'm still at 2 lunar dews... haven start hunting peridots(watever the spelling) on SM either... well i don't plan on making a UA any soon... gonna focus on my hero 1st.

i guess i did rushed a lot of lvls in maple though. more like the new exp to next lvl makes to tooo easy to hit 3rd job. WH 77, BAM 72 or smthing, mech 10X... i'm a bit stuck on where to train mech now tho... oh wells. wanna try out more places to train so that i can get a better idea on each of the mobs/maps...

stopped writing my training grounds guide for a while since i have not much experience in training at the revamped maps and mobs. simply listing out every single mob in maple certainly does not make a good training guide.

wonder when LHC will be out... at least it gives me another place for my hero to whack in. oh and i'll nid to hunt 12 more POTs from TT to get 45 pieces to make my mech's gun. really hope i'll get a decent wa gun, since i plan to throw in all 60%s. hmm... i don't think i have more than 2 60% gun att scrolls, if i have any at all... wonder how much they are in the fm now... hmm let's see HS...

Ok... this is very bad news indeed. DGP is gd to train evan on, but super duper crowded... so that's out... charmers i think is hacker filled... pink teddy spawn isnt very good... meh... guess that leaves me with the FM -.-'''.scar/targa don't seem to drop them either... only get sword/axe/bw etc att scrolls, but no gun as far as i can remember. arghs... i bet gun scrolls are at exorbitant prices now... NOOOOO! T.T

really hope i get like 5 or more passes... if the gun fails miserably i'll have to re-hunt the POTs... which would very likely take a month or more... sighz. the bad thing is that TT is not only flooded with hackers, but also has its lvl limit increased to 140 and abv. even more sighs... means i can't train mech there once i hit 4th for POTs and exp at the same time... gotta train outside till 14X. and that place is absolutely, disgustingly filled with hackers. you really CANNOT train with multiple hackers occupying every chnl. we need lie detectors that can actually DO something, like slapping those hackers with a perma ban. yeah, that'll be really harsh for legit players if they get slapped with one, but if its not a perma ban, the hackers will just wait out the ban, and come back once the ban is over. considering they have soooo many chars... its just too easy for them. that's why i mentioned in my previous post a time frame of 5 lie detector fails in a day... i'm not sure how bad the problem of lie detector abuses is, since i don't train at crowded maps... gah. hackers, hackers everywhere. the game is starting to need all those anti-botting games like in runescape -.-'''

got some long over due work of updating the mob stats in HS. started and stopped previously cos the multiple copies of the same mob (but with diff stats) in the game files totally confused me. realised that i probably used the wrong stats to update some of the mobs... dang. gotta go back and check my work.

blah. now waiting for my Lion OS X to download on my mac. its taking SUPER long. like more than an hour has gone by already, and i still have 2.5 hours+ to go. sure the file is big at 3.7GB, but somehow i feel that the internet is much slower than it should usually be. sighz.

hmm... keyboard looks really dirty... since i'm waiting for lion to load i shd clean my keyboard....

Attendance Taking Event Round 3

Reminder to all: Attendance Taking event (yes, its just a repeat of the earlier one) starts TODAY. yes NOW. gogo get your cakes NOW. at the end of 10 days you 'll get to pick either the crystal chair or the bday cake chair. speak to maple admin than grendal the really old  in ellinia everyday for 10 days to get the final chair.

lazy to upload my own SSes so bleh. mech needs 3 more lvls to hit 70... wonder if i can do it later... or maybe i'll head off to bed 1st. gonna try and get mech to 4th job asap. which would make it my second char to hit 4th job if the plan succeeds. yes... 2nd char only. how pathetic. (i wouldnt count my 120 SM, since KoCs dont have a 4th job) even flame's evan has hit 4th job long ago while mine is still stuck at lvl 114. and now i've stocked up soooo many dews for my evan to use... like almost 2k dews. abt 1k of each type -.-''' at the rate i'm going i'm nvr gonna finish it.

same goes for HS... i haven done any properly updating in days... ever since before saigo went on holiday. back packing in japan like OMG! can u like pack me in ur suit case with u lol. speaking of which... none of the other hs-sea mods are alive. chaos is here in gms so saigo's gonna focus on the gms database after this... sighz. which means i'm on my own now... which is fine considering that apart from some skill changes i really cant say that i've helped much. only thing was that i didnt disappear like the rest did. simply missing in action. okays. i made myself a promise to finish up the boss WA/MA and WD/MD changes before saigo's back from his backpacking. trouble is, i forgot when he'll be back... so i guess i'd better get creaking REAL soon ><

As you should know by now, hidden-street is in no way related to Nexon or AsiaSoft. We are not the developers, we do not work at AsiaSoft, we are not in game GMs, we are not UserGMs, we are not even the AsiaSoft Forum moderators. No matter how many times this was repeated in the annoucements, some idiots still cant get this into their head. Here's a small sample of what those jokers keep sending us... (from HS-SEA forms only... i wonder if those visitng the GMS sites keep sending similar stuff too? or maybe they are smarter?)

Ha... its like i'm making one post per semester. I swear i'll make more effort to post... and i say that every time but man... posting the SSes to facebook directly is SOOOOO much more convenient. You can say that i've gotten way too lazy to post any SSes in here... its really very trouble some... i either have to upload the photos one by one to blogger, or upload them to photo bucket 1st before posting them here -.-'''

hmmm... so its been a last time since i updated anything here. i'll try to summarize wat i've done in maple in the past... half a year?

1) i chionged hero to 197... by... cheating yes... in core. sure i still have to hit and all, and i was the rusher too... i dont think its leeching, cos i am not! but its still cheating nonetheless.... too bad i had exams or i'd cheat to 200 and be done with it lol. its still tough to train the last few lvls after big bang. not that much of a exp rate improvement for those with noob damage like me. i take like 3 hits at TT red 4 now. still less than 1% exp per hour... didn’t take note of the exact exp % gained per hour tho. i guess i dont want to either. its depressing. bossing gives pathetic exp too. solo toad gives 1.8% only... sighz. now stuck at 197.

2) i played mech! on jms! haha. went to get a vpn and all to try out the mechs... jms was fun, think they have a cool event going now but i stopped playing ever since i stopped mapling cos of exams. love the monster book system in jms... really wish we have it in msea. since my japanese standard is really bad... interacting with the other players was quite a... terrifying? experience... starting from scratch in a server with rather bad inflation is... well i've gotta make use of those events to make my bucks, but since i'm not even playing jms now... yeah... the free vpn connection is kinda slow so... i dont think i'll really be playing jms anymore.

exams ended on the day big bang hit msea, so i've been playing msea only ever since.

3) big bang... well heros got the shorter end of the stick IMO. very short end of the stick perhaps. dont argue with me abt how 'pro' we are last time etc etc... (get ur facts right, we got pawned by NLs, BM, aran etc all the time). anyway if the classes were REALLY balanced, you wont see another re-balancing patch coming in jump. cant wait for jump to come. panic working on bosses will really give our damage a much needed boost. removal of achilles however, TOTALLY SUCKS. its not like heros wont get any damage? damn. i dont think our damage even after jump will be really good though. whereas palas get uber high def, hp restoration skills, AND high damage. darn. you just cant predict things in life can you? or maple.

i still love my hero tho, despite its nub damage and all. i've made a decision to stop cubing. its wasting way too much of my $. i'm not rich enough to keep throwing away money like that... i'm not even earning my own keep sigh.

3) resistance classes... WH lvl 77, bam still lvl 55 only. gotta get it to lvl 70 for the ring before mech comes out. cos i'm definitely gonna be playing mech XD. its so darn over powered i swear! even w/o any BOF or decent eqs, my mech was like 1hko-ing all the mobs at my lvl... something that my bam cant even do with decent eqs and a lvl 9 bof! sheesh! mech is really way over powered. that's maple's idea of balance. go play all the new classes, they are ridiculously strong, have cool skill animations, great skills at low lvls that beats wat others get in 4th job... sheesh. balanced my foot!

in other maple related news....

hidden street.... everyone else has gone MIA again... even ice disappeared after adding the resistance skills. so much for all his talk abt wanting to do the thieve job skills and all the maps... i must say i didn’t do much in comparison to our uber fast admin saigo. seriously he is... its no wonder the two of them started the site. i get bored or tired after a while... he updates stuff for like the whole day.... everyday! he pretty much single handedly did all the mobs and maps updates. and like half the skills too. i guess i was too distracted with the game itself... T.T

but at least i didn’t run off halfway! and still did more than the rest of them...

speaking of which.. my training grounds guide still isnt finished yet. i did update the faq in lounge though, and put up a skill allocation guide too. tired... i shd go to xp and do the attendance taking event n head off to bed... but before i go, the SSes...

haha, quite a long time back i posted abt our 1st cwkpq... we had many rounds after that, and i necked evan and db.

it took my heros dam a lot of tries to get my 3 liner tho. was either wa8 necks, 2 liners, or just boomed in my face with the pot scroll. wasted A LOT of pot scrolls... T.T

in the end like i was the only one re-necking... and got to re-neck like 2 or 3 times in a single round...

law bought a few heart chocolates (or watever it was called >< ) as donations and kindly sent to the rest of us.

i honestly thought i'd missed it again (previously stayed till like 5am but to no avail)... than i randomly cc-ed and saw the blue message... and there it was... the shiny eyes... right in front of me! i was so excited that my hands were shaking...! thankfully there were no ks-ers... else i wouldn’t have taken any SSes for sure.

whee! speed and jump increase yay! i'm obsessed with getting max speed and jump on my hero, and faster movement speed for every one else too... so getting jaira was... just great. esp since the normal mount, tho having 180% spd... doesn’t add any jump! sucks cos i'm so used to the max jump (and max speed w/o mount!) on my hero. yeah, thanks to the evolving ring, my hero doesn’t need maple cape for max spd and jump anymore XD!

i saw this guy waiting in the map, so i cc-ed... either cc-ed or re-enter map... than i met jaira XD
dont think that all was so easy for me... i cc-ed and re-entered maps till my maple hang up and i have to restart maple... so glad i didn’t miss it XD. still i'm lucky to have gotten jaira on my 2nd camping session. hehe :)

my keyboard arrangements for WH. the bad thing abt playing maple on mac (dual boot xp) is that i dont have all the keys like end, home, page up/down, insert, del... wat else? i dont even have scroll lock to take SSes so i have to press Fn, F12 and ... and... darn... i must be too tired... either the cont or shift key... or smthing like that. 3 keys at once to take an SS -.-''' as if Fn and scroll lock key on my old lappy wasn’t troublesome enough... i really love my mac though. the worst thing abt it is that Nexon didn’t make maple for macs. sighz. that was the only thing that stopped me from getting a mac last time, and still is the only reason why my mac isnt perfect... and it’s the only reason why i installed dual boot + xp and the only reason why i log in to xp.

ok... enough of this... its really late and i still have to reboot to xp and do the attendance taking. ciao!
