Was quite a bad day yesterday and today.
Last night started off with ark. Normal ark…
For reasons unknown, my maple had the graphic glitch when there was a pop up from yoono… offed the notifications in the middle of battle but yeah…
This week i died two times in that… around 10min run ><
1st time was damage reflect… totally unexpected and really really hard to avoid from my experience with koc ark. Its like i'd see the reflect sign but then since i'm holding down the attack button its too late and i'd have already died...
2nd time was cos i was stuck in the 'jail' place for really long as the graphic glitch occurred during the jail… and just my luck, the moment i stepped out of jail into the middle of action the boss used his instant death skill…..zzzzzzzzzzz since i was stuck in the jail map for so long, divine shield was long gone and of cos i died. sighs. exp went from 6+% back down to 4+%...


Then we went to czak after midnight to helm 3 of my guildies/alliance mates.
Getting into czak was…… a bitch… 1st time round mich clicked the wrong stuff and missed… 2nd time in another cc and no luck either… 3rd time mich mega-ed and we knew when they were coming out but…. a pt already inside beat us to it. Again! All in all waited like really really long T.T Finally norm managed to get us in…
ah yes… the megas by mich and bunny! Grats mich on getting ur 1st lvl 200 char :)

1st round was pretty uneventful… 6 man pt in czak… well not that uneventful… right at the start of czak i suddenly realised that for all the time i spent waiting outside the door (actually i was playing swords n potions), i didn’t realise that i had no all cure pots with me zzzzz. I remembered to check for eye of fire this time, but forgot the ACP…. -.-''' since you don't need acp for ark runs i didn’t bring it earlier with me zzzz. Normy traded me 60… thankfully he didn’t trade me 50 or something cos…….. 2 helms dropped and i managed to loot the milks too… 6x milks :)

2nd round. Nightmare started right at the beginning when normy the pro evan with soul stone (aka free wheels) dced…. like right at the start! Right after mich echoed and before we even down a single arm…..
All was still ok albeit slower till like… b2… when law got pot lock and died. Some where in between Aoi also died… then mich and ryo also died, but had wheels… in b3 mich died like… idk how many times… each time SD and 1,1 she got hit by mobs and tombed T.T…. then at about… b3 40%? During the round of SD and 1,1 the other two survivors mich + ryoryo also died… and mich used up her last wheel……… and there left me! The 'pro' pala with the 'pro-est' damage in the world….

I wonder for a while if i shd just not waste time and get out…
But then i looked at my pots...
and realised i was using free untradable PE from events and drpq box, and free mp pots from the silent crusade quest. AND i didn’t have anything better to do...
of more concern however, was whether my luck will continue to hold during the seduce and whether the 32 acps will see me through...
But still, i was reluctant to just leave the map like this when i was sure i can down it… with so much time left on the clock after all - as long as the cap could last...
i only used 28 pot for like 1 and a half czak… but with my noob damage…

so i whacked and whacked… and survived SD after SD… even pot locks and 1,1s… most harrowing is when you can SDed and then two 1,1s in a row… that leaves me with a mere 800++ hp! If he lightning zaps or if a pillar falls on me I'd probably be done for… the pillar hits me like… 800++ damage and the lightning is like 1k+++ damage… -.-''' Even one 1,1 and a lightning leaves me with over 3k hp… still enough to survive like 2 attacks….
Lucky for me when i got the double 1,1 tho, mobs were surrounding me and protecting me - by dealing 1 damage to me per hit and giving me free invincibility… phew!
Ah yes… i realised that sanc no longer goes through super WD up like last time. Sad. And not only does it deal 1700% damage to bosses, but it seems that the 1700% damage applies to boss summons as well… i see numbers instead of the usual yellow bars when i sanc the zak summons. Opps i mean czak. Still, its a really useful skill in helping me keep the number of summons slightly in check.

the really sad thing tho…… was that it didn’t drop a single helmzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!

after all the effort i took to solo the last bit… i only got 47 elixirs for my efforts...

that was like 40mins of work ya know!!!!!!!!!! and yes. 2 acp left… JUST barely made it...

and a final photo taking session with the background quality set back to high… its still a huge achievement for a noob like me after all - but one i don't wish to have to repeat.

Hp pots wise… i still used very little… 123 PEs thereabout for ark, and 2 rounds of czak! Well but the pot usage in ark is really low for me, since we have all the pro attackers and they down so fast… czak tho i wasted quite a few PEs… i see the 1,1 animation flash and pressed pot, but my pet didn’t fail me this time and potted as well so… wasted. Oh wells… i do need to use up my untradable PEs else i won't have use slot for pqing :X

Okays… way almost 4am… high time to sleep nite nite!

Dear Maple Diary, How come I no DC?

I'm very very puzzled. I survived 4 rounds with PG on in czak, and 2 rounds with PR on in nzak. No dc. But my friend on PG 1st round dc already. How come like that? Is the bug fixed or not fixed? Cos last time I didnt know and on PR in nzak, very fast tio dc liao... how come this time I can survive so many rounds but my friend cannot?

Hmm seems like i'm just sibuay heng... guess i should try and lvl up my pala more and add  more points into achilles before the next czak... dont want my luck to run out when i'm the 2nd helmer :X

Maple Pro!

1st, there was urgent server maintenance two days in a row, back to back... than there was server crash and rb...

Apparently the server crashed this morning, 9 mins after the maintenance ended. pro... my friend valuable scrolls cos he was transferring stuff when the server crashed.

Czak just now was even worst than last week. For me i didnt really lag, but a lot of ppl were dc-ing... PLUS there were some batch members that mia zzzzzzzzz tried two times and gosh... it was just... pathetic. like there were so few ppl left at the end of our 2nd attempt... ppl died and wheel or just out right dc-ed till even bs also tio SD. that we even managed to down one arm was quite a feat in itself. i really must thank my thick hp, else i would have died no doubt...

after that sianz... deicded to go lhc train a bit... than what happened? DC! server crash? maybe 20mins pass liao, still cant log in. heck, even the forums are down... trained till 68.60% just now... sian... dunnoe will tio rb till where. worst is that i just transferred my wa glove and shield (and two ancient rings) from my UA to my hero. though just now did relog once before czak... if rb and somehow my items gone than... seriously no need to play liao... zzzzzzzz

at the rate things are going... i really dont know how i'm gonna reach 200... sianz. jp wanted to train at 4+ tmr... was hoping to hit 199 tmr de... starting from tmr they giving out some crap 1.5x exp event somemore... i think that'll make the lag, crashes and rb even worst zzzzzzzz! i was still hoping to train to 200 next week since its my holiday... zzzzzzzz! epic sianz.

forums are up, but maple still cant in... zzzzzzzzzz! pls let my items be there!

EDIT: heng, no roll back... just server crash only... server restart from 1-3am... managed to train a bit just now... hope that tmr i can lvl up!

Welcome to the World of Lag

Epic lag in maple today.... czak was a big failure... use pot? lag. use skill? lag. Haven even scratch czak arms and ppl were tombing because of the lag... gave up shortly after we started.

I only learnt afterwards that there was 1.5x drop/exp... no wonder the lag was sooooo bad... but still, the lag didnt go away after the 1.5x event at 10pm so... yeah server fail.

Went training at LKC instead since czak cmi... gained a total of 10% in ard... 4 hours? not too bad, but than again there's like 1 hour of 1.5x... and of cos that's with a full pt plus HS. gonna try and rush hero to lvl 200 asap... jp promise i'll have his 20 megas if i make it (before they expire) on the 4th of Oct lol... i think that'll be a bit hard but... still gonna try and train the whole day tmr... might buy a 1.2x exp coupon and try to gain 40% exp tmr... not sure if i can do it or not but yeah.... gonna try.

Saw a noob bandwagon pala showing off his pathetic char handling skills with a video on youtube... so as i was hunting blue paint for the 'Picture of a Popular Monster' event quest, i struck upon the idea of making a video in mockery of those pathetic bandwagers. While i personally feel that there is nothing wrong with creating a UA pala... most of the ppl creating UA pala simply made it cos they heard it's powerful... they dont know shit about the job or their skills, then they go around PRETENDING they are a pro. -.-''' i'd vomit blood if ppl go mass bandwagoning UA heros too.

Was training my mech the other day and i really really craved training my hero... guess 1st impressions of the game stays... still prefer a warrior char somehow... demon slayer's coming in the future... but somehow i think mine will still end up stuck ard lvl 100 or 110... not sure if my plan to switch to pala after my hero 'ends' his story will work - they are still many fundamental difference between hero and pala, but hopefully it'll suit me better than my mech. i'll definitely miss my monster magnet for sure.

mech is fun alright, but i really dislike having to summon all that stuff... buffs i'm ok with it... but having to constantly summon the mosquito buzzer, the door, or the robot to make mob moves faster is really really tiring... really puts me off training the char... (or i dont use them at all when training... which happens most of the time simply cos i forget...)

ok, enough crap, here's the video.. its just random snippets of me hunting for blue paint. and since i'm just randomly hunting for some quest items, my char handling is as sloppy as sloppiness can be, and i'm sliding abt + lagging anyway. YES. its freaking LAGGING in the middle of the night. Hurrah for maple! i totally didnt know wat i was doing at LKC earlier on... the mobs that i rushed would bounce right back and stuff. Hurrah for lag!

czak today was at 8, as usual.... was already late cos my dad ask me to help my sis install the stupid printer drivers on my sis's comp. like wat's soooo hard abt downloading the driver from the website and installing it??? been asking my sis to install it herself for literally YEARS and she couldnt do it right.

than my dad come in at like czak b2... see me maple and of cos scold. than cos he bought a new router in the afternoon, he just unplugged the modem. cos he dont approve of me playing any sort of games anyway. sighz.

and yes, i could have gotten helmed today....

very sadded right now. wat to do?


in other unrelated news, i made a UA late last night.... yeah... that's all... no mood to say anything else now.

Chaos Zakum - Downed!

Yes! the czak run on friday night was a success! 2 helms dropped... and since i'm 3rd on the helming list, that means i'll definitely get to helm next week... whee...! the downside however... is that my scar helm has a pot line with 3% str... i'll probably cube a lil bit to get 3% str... whee... 10% hp! that'll be... 37k hp for me... w/o hb. *drools*

yeah, died once during SD. didnt quite know how it happen. like i wasnt even sure if i was still in SD when i died or i could pot already but didnt do so in time. what i do know that it was quite a long SD, bs didnt heal tho there was no zombify... i was trying to hit my awakening button but it didnt work - either i didnt have the mp or the skill was in cd... than i tombed together with a few others. >< oh wells. i'm not too sure if i shd feel relieved/glad/lucky that a 1st timer like me (who hasnt even gone ht before) only died once, or i shd feel ashamed that someone with 34k hp still managed to tomb. oh wells. hope i can avoid deaths next week. as little deaths as possible so that my wheels AND charms will last. yes, charms for 1% exp. when it's so hard to get 1% exp... you really go to extremes. Gained like 0.6-0.7% exp at czak just now. Didnt take note and didnt take SSes cos of the bug.

Mass seduce parts at body was quite scary...all you can do is stare at ur hp and watch it go down... for me 1/1 would bring my hp down to ard 5k? than i'd be able to take another 1 or 2 hits... so i'd be praying that i wont get hit so many times... or the bs will heal in time... else i'd be desperately trying to press my awakening button and hope that i wont get the msg saying you dont have enough mp to use the skill. stun and SD also makes it a challenge for attackers (well at least 1st timers like me) hard to crash in time.

on sat i went to delete and reinstall xp... deleted the entire xp portion and started over from scratch. wanted to increase the space in xp a bit so i dont keep having trouble with the lack of space... and wanted to install a fresh copy of maple. previously i just kept on patching maple over and over... for like 4 or 5 years... till my old maple folder was a whooping 6.1gb large! now after 1.5 days, i finally managed to get maple (and xp) re-installed, and my maple folder stands at 2.58gb... a save of over 3.5gb!

deletion and re-installation of xp was a huge pain. mostly becos i've forgotten the procedures. i've upgraded my mac OS to lion and sadly the bootcamp 4 in lion does not support xp n vista installation anymore, only win7. All i have is a XP installation CD, and i'm NOT gonna fork out $ to buy win7 just to maple. boot camp still lets you create and delete the xp partition as per normal... but to install XP, you need to reboot and directly go to the CD (press and hold option key when starting up). After that... there comes the face palm part. I forgot that to install bootcamp drivers, i just need to pop the mac OS disk into the comp when i'm on XP. i did it when i was on mac... which obviously didnt work. than i tried searching high and low for bootcamp 3.0 drivers... on whether its possible to downgrade bootcamp etc. gosh...

after wasting i couple of hours i finally got things right... than after re-installing bootcamp from the cd a few times... the entire bootcamp driver package now works properly! so i can use two finger scrolling etc... previously bootcamp only worked for like the 1st day or so, than it broke... even reinstall xp couldnt help -.-''' wonder how long it'll last this time round... the good thing is that i no longer need to press the FN key together with the F1-F12 keys for things like smile to work. and i also get to use two finger or the clicking the bottom right corner of the track pad to right click (and cancel enrage for eg). tap to click also works now with the bootcamp drivers...

actually only the graphic card and wifi drivers worked at 1st... even the audio wasnt working... so i went to re-install the boot camp drivers a couple of times and... amazing the whole package works now. oh yeah... surprisingly, i dont need to use the soft keyboard to log in maple. which is a huge relief :)

so yeah, installing xp and maple took me the whole of sat and half a day on sun... after that i went to rush training hero... so this post got delayed till now... -.-'''

Good news for my hero tho... at 94.23% now, i'll be able to level tmr as long as nothing goes wrong (like urgent sever checks or roll backs ><)

there was an urgent SC earlier on... i went to play trickster in the meantime... but eventually gave up cos of the lag. i play a 1441 dragon, so its basically a glass cannon that dies really easily. just a bit of lag and i was toast... -.-''' doesnt help that its been years since i last played and in thang pate mean time an equivilant of the maple big bang patch occurred. the trickster wikis and such arent very comprehensive either... so i've gotta take a while to catch up on the game... if i am serious about playing back the game ><

Also managed to get a sg glass on hero last fri, and so i potted the nwe and old glass... both were 2 liners, but one of them gave me a neat 2% str! that's a 3XX increase in max damage range.. neat!
