So the maplestory forums have been moved to playpark forums late last night... and i managed to get my tagging process completed too. Cos i made a playpark id with the same username as my old forum nick, posts made by my old forum nick were changed to be made by AP_darkiller... and during the tagging i had to use that as the username else i couldnt log in. I wanted to keep my old userid (tho the new one was identical) as well as all my stats... esp all my stats! like the join date and post counts :X... so i tagged my account and checked the box... only the fret later that whether my user id will end up getting changed to AP_XXX :X

So i posted in the login thread and the mod kindly assured me that she'll automatically remove all AP_ prefixes from the userid. Phew. Must say that this forum migration gave me a great impression of Astrea... with like so many requests and everything, she still replied to the qns and rather quickly too... partly cos it was still early and not THAT many requests have gone in yet? Either way, a round of applause to Astrea! i bet she's swamped in requests and all by now... of ppl who missed the once in a lifetime opportunity to tag and later want to tag... she even had a post double checking whether some ppl who picked not to keep the id really meant it that way... that totally surprised me. Like... with so many ppl... why u bothered to check? :X

A couple of loungers took the opportunity to change forum nick, or to 'revive' an old banned account... some even decided to start anew and not tag.

Oh yeah... a couple to things to note:

- If you're a thread starter of some important threads... like guides or job discussion threads, i'd advise you to tag because you wouldnt have control over those posts otherwise (cant edit the posts anymore, since you've become a different user). If its just some selling thread with not many other ppl posting inside... then you can just make a new thread no biggie.

- after tagging with ASF account is the the dot that says newbie and all is strangely gone..

- and i can have a 3-lined siggy (since siggies are brought over from the old site when tagging)... but once change anything they want it to be kept to 2 lines le -.-

- new forums uses the thread name as url... i think this is badddd... guess it means i cant play ard with the thread title anymore eh? also means like the lounge with a super long thread title has a super long url :X

i really dont like the 2 lines limitation for siggies :X

The new forum also keeps the 1st post at the top of every page... and the spacing in the new forums in like ultra big. So the 1st thing i did after the tagging was completed was to edit the 1st post... made it more compact and added a RIP and Reincarnation list XD

Wondering if i should move the lounge's super long history to the 2nd post just so that we dont have to keep seeing that horrendously long thing (over 50 past threads! that's 50 lines of now outdated url!)

AS Forums Shift house!

So AS forums have entered a period of blackout... and will be shifting to the playpark forums come 18th July.

I pray that nothing goes wrong with the migration. Cos i'm too lazy to save a copy of the hero's lounge opening posts + my now severely outdated training grounds guide. Hopefully all those gets migrated nicely. And the account tagging too... with 27k posts (real close to 28k now) under my belt, I really hope to keep that little bit of my gaming history. Got me worried for a while cos I made a new playpark acct a while back when the forum migration notice came up... but didnt get the option to tag to my current account. Apparently the tagging will only start when the new forums are up.

My New Slayer!

Yupyup! so i made my DS... erm.... 2 days ago.

It hit 9x yesterday... Its a great thing sch hols are over, cos its possible to find empty channels at RJPQ again. Really really much faster farming in there than whacking mobs outside.

EDIT: while waiting for the stupid SSes to upload, i trained and trained all the way till 109... bleah... 1 lvl short to wear my new weapon

This is how i trained my slayer to lvl 70 this time round - all can be done in less than half a day - which was the time i took:

10-30: storyline quests, resistance quests, whack mob around edelstein
30-51: MCPQ
51-61: Monster park - temple of darkness (ran out of tickets at lvl 61. And yes the 1.5x legends exp tickets are great!)
61-70: Ghost ship 2 (Singapore). Stand on the 3rd step and use normal attack and soul eater. Soul eater can hit both the top and bottom lane! Wonderful isnt it? Best thing is that gs2 is pretty much deserted so you wont have trouble finding maps - no need to share maps with ppl in mp3 and all.

I'll probably adopt a different strategy for my DS2 and DS3 though, since those chars have much less eq, and heck, they dont even have a lvl 24 bless of koc :X

Skills too... i've been playing around with the order of adding skills for my cs2/3 and merc2/3. Adding them according to how i intend to train that char. Same here with my DS... The only constants are which skills to NOT max... the rest i really just added according to which is most beneficial (which i'd use the most)

As expected, no one took the ign ChemSlayer yet, so now its all mine :)

haha yes, i leveled up by doing the fireworks quest! 2nd time that happened lol

Ah i also changed some perfect rex earrings and chaos-ed it...  using the gold legend award coins to change the untradable chaos scrolls of cos...

1st earring: 1st chaos wa gone

2nd earring:
start 1wa > 2wa > 3wa > 6wa rest of the scrolls failed.

 

And than i tried to chaos my MoN too. 1st scroll failed, 2nd scroll jumbled up my original 5 to all stats like... and the wa12 became wa14! NICE! 2 more slots open and no more coins for now :X

Demon slayer patch finished!

Just nice sia... went out with my sis for lunch and did a bit of shopping... came back and lo and behold! patch just finished 10mins ago. Didnt finish early, but no epic extensions either... not bad!

Patching my maple now... gotta go prepare dinner soon tho... oh wells. At least i can get all my legend coins and chop my DS name :)

Doubt the name i have in mind would be taken even tho its has a rather common suffix. Its the prefix that makes my chars anyway hahaha XD
